Talk about what your character knows
“I heard a loud bang near the store.” Describe what you witnessed or learned in character.
A friendly explanation of common FiveM phrases and how to handle technical matters without disrupting serious roleplay.
Your approved Server Rules prohibit OOC euphemisms or codewords in active scenes and using information obtained outside your character’s experience. These examples explain community jargon; they are not a list of expressions players are required to use.

For a crash, UI problem, or rule concern, reconnect if possible, finish the scene when safe, and contact Discord support with details.
Don't say “my brain is lagging” or “I need to meditate” to secretly discuss hardware, AFK status or Discord during an active scene.
Discord calls, streams, or another character's information cannot automatically become your character's knowledge.
These are common expressions you may see outside the game. Labels indicate whether they're appropriate in a natural in-character context or should stay in OOC conversations.
Meaning: Game crash or unexpected disconnect
Explain in a Discord ticket or after the scene; reconnect and resume when possible.
Meaning: Joining or leaving a server
Keep server-connection talk out of active in-character scenes.
Meaning: Server restart
Plan scenes around scheduled restarts; avoid using restart slang to interrupt RP.
Meaning: Low FPS, lag, or stuttering
Handle performance issues out of character when possible.
Meaning: AFK or away from the keyboard
Do not disguise AFK status as in-character dialogue during a scene.
Meaning: Keyboard or mouse controls
Use the Settings menu or website guidebook outside the scene to learn controls.
Meaning: Screen, perspective, or PC
Describe what your character actually observes rather than talking about game hardware.
Meaning: Microphone or voice-chat problems
Resolve audio problems through the client/settings or support rather than coded dialogue.

Do not import out-of-character information into your character’s knowledge.
Meaning: Streaming, video clips, or reviewing footage
Do not use streaming or clip-review jargon as a way to share OOC information.

Natural words about possessions are fine, but not a reason to ignore robbery restrictions.
Meaning: In-world body-worn camera
Refer to it only where your character plausibly has a recording device and relevant evidence.
Meaning: Residents or background characters
A natural term for city residents is fine; do not treat NPCs as a purely game-mechanical concept.
Meaning: Removed or banned from the server
Moderation and ban issues belong with the staff appeal or support process.
Meaning: Modders, cheats, or a lagging player
Report suspected exploits privately; do not make OOC accusations in active RP.
Meaning: A vague mix of community rules and criminal law
Server Rules govern conduct; City Laws govern in-character legal authority.
Meaning: Real-world minutes of server jail time
In-character sentence terms depend on actual roleplay, court records, and published City Laws.
Meaning: Server ID or phone number
Use realistic in-character introductions and phone exchanges; IDs are an OOC tool.
Meaning: Disguised out-of-character conversation
Rule 7 prohibits using OOC euphemisms or codewords in active scenes.
Meaning: Reconnect to troubleshoot bugs
Report technical problems openly through the proper support channel, without disrupting a scene.
