TVRP ENHANCED • SERIOUS ROLEPLAY
Community rules at a glance
TVRP Enhanced is a serious roleplay community. The purpose of these rules is to support believable stories, meaningful consequences, and fair scenes—not to reward whoever finds the most favorable game mechanic.
| 6-PLAYER SCENE LIMIT Until TVRP Management opens the Whitelisted Criminal Factions program, civilian and criminal groups operate as non-whitelisted crews. Before and after the program opens, a maximum of 6 active participants from one coordinated criminal or conflict side may participate in a continuous scene. Approved factions follow the same limit. Lower script/activity caps always override this limit. |

Before you play
• TVRP Enhanced is a serious roleplay server. Your character should behave like a real person in a living world, not like a GTA Online avatar.
• Players and player characters must be 18+. A working microphone is required. Character names must be realistic and may not impersonate celebrities or public figures.
• Rules are non-exhaustive. Staff may act on behavior that clearly violates the spirit of serious roleplay even if a specific example is not listed.
• Do not stop a scene to argue about rules. Stay in character, complete the scene, and report afterward unless there is an immediate exploit, safety, or technical issue that requires staff intervention.
• Clips are strongly recommended for reports. Staff may also use logs and other evidence; lack of a clip may limit what staff can verify.
• Someone else breaking a rule does not give you permission to break one back.

RULE 1. SERIOUS ROLEPLAY, CHARACTER QUALITY & FAILRP
Every interaction should support a believable character and an ongoing story.
TVRP is not a “100k or die” server. Habitually choosing robbery, gunfire, chases, or killing with little character development or narrative is low-quality roleplay and may lead to removal from the community.
• Roleplay your character consistently. Decisions should make sense for your character, the situation, and the consequences they face.
• Play to roleplay, not to win. Do not use game mechanics, rule wording, or unrealistic behavior solely to force the best outcome for yourself.
• Gunplay should be a last resort. Use conversation, negotiation, intimidation, escape, surrender, or other believable options before escalating to lethal force.
• Cop baiting, griefing, trolling, repeatedly provoking violence for entertainment, random punching, unrealistic jumps, driving into the ocean to escape, or similar behavior may be treated as FailRP.
• Deliberately spamming or fabricating emergency calls solely to troll, waste emergency-service resources, or bait a response into an unrealistic confrontation may be treated as FailRP. Believable in-character deception remains subject to other scene and initiation rules.
• Roleplay injuries. If you are downed, do not casually joke, argue, give perfect tactical callouts, or act uninjured. Allow EMS and other players to have meaningful roleplay with you.
• A bad outcome is still roleplay. Arrests, losses, injuries, failed jobs, and consequences are part of the server.
• When someone approaches with genuine roleplay while you are working, acknowledge them and respond reasonably in character. You may continue working, decline a request, or leave for a believable in-character reason. You are not required to accept every demand or entertain harassment, repeated baiting, or an interaction intended only to disrupt your activity.
• Players may repeat legal jobs, criminal activities, crafting, deliveries, and other income-producing activities as often as they choose. Grinding or earning money efficiently is not, by itself, FailRP; TVRP does not impose arbitrary limits on how long players may work.
RULE 2. VALUE OF LIFE, FEARRP & ESCALATION
Your character should value survival and react realistically to credible threats.
• If you are clearly at a disadvantage and under a credible immediate threat, act with reasonable fear for your life. Do not rush a drawn firearm, ignore multiple armed people, or behave as if death has no consequence.
• Having a weapon does not automatically justify using it. Lethal force requires believable escalation and context.
• You may defend yourself when a realistic opportunity exists, but “I had a gun” or “we had more people” is not an automatic defense for reckless behavior.
• Do not execute or permanently remove a character without substantial roleplay. Permanent character death (permadeath) requires the affected player’s clear out-of-character consent. Management-approved storylines may set the process for consensual permadeath, but approval alone does not override player consent.
• Do not create impossible demands just to manufacture permission to shoot. Commands must be clear, realistic, and allow a reasonable chance to respond.
RULE 3. SCENE & GROUP LIMIT — MAXIMUM 6
This six-person cap applies to all coordinated civilian and criminal groups, including approved Whitelisted Criminal Factions, before and after the faction program opens.
• Maximum 6 active participants per coordinated civilian/criminal group or side in an active criminal or conflict scene.
• Active participation includes getaway drivers, lookouts, scouts, spotters, and anyone providing live tactical information or assistance to that side, even if they never fire a shot. Uninvolved bystanders do not count toward a group’s six.
• You may not rotate members in and out, keep extra members “nearby,” stage backup around the corner, or split into separate squads to exceed six.
• Once a hostile scene or active pursuit has begun, new friends may not join simply because they receive a call, radio message, GPS ping, or Discord information.
• If an activity, robbery, race, mission, or script has a lower participant maximum, the lower limit is the rule. A 4-player robbery remains a 4-player robbery.
• On-duty police, EMS, and other whitelisted services responding in an official capacity are not counted as members of a civilian/criminal six. You may not use an on-duty service member as an allied seventh participant.
• Non-whitelisted crews, families, clubs, and friend groups have no faction whitelist privileges. Whitelisted status also does not create KOS rights, territory immunity, special retaliation rules, or an exemption from the six-person limit. Claiming colors, a block, a clubhouse, or a name grants none of those rights.
• A scene does not reset because you drove away briefly, changed cars, or moved locations. Staff will judge whether the encounter remained part of the same continuous scene.
RULE 4. INITIATION, RDM & INTERJECTING
Violence must come from clear roleplay, not surprise mechanics.
• Random Deathmatch (RDM) is attacking, injuring, or killing another player without sufficient roleplay and a valid in-character reason. Death is not required for an action to be RDM.
• Initiation must clearly communicate hostile intent while the other party can reasonably see, hear, and understand what is happening. Give them a fair moment to respond with words or actions before attacking. An immediate, ongoing attack may justify proportionate self-defense without a new verbal warning, but it does not create ongoing kill-on-sight rights.
• Do not initiate on someone who is clearly locked in a menu, loading, frozen by a game animation, or otherwise unable to respond normally.
• Group initiation only covers members who are actually present and participating when the initiation occurs. Someone arriving later must not jump into an already active fight.
• You cannot interject into another group’s scene. If you were not part of the initial interaction, stay out unless the scene naturally involves your on-duty job responsibilities.
• Friends must receive location and situation information in character. Once shooting begins, outside reinforcements are not permitted.
• No blanket KOS declarations. Prior “beef,” clothing, colors, or group membership does not eliminate the need for valid roleplay and initiation in a new scene.
RULE 5. VEHICLE DEATHMATCH & REALISTIC VEHICLE USE
Vehicles are transportation first, not weapons or physics exploits.
• VDM is intentionally using a vehicle to injure or kill another player. It is prohibited.
• A narrow exception exists when you are actively fleeing an immediate threat and an attacker deliberately blocks the only reasonable escape path with their body. You must use only the force reasonably necessary to escape; intentionally striking someone to retaliate, continuing to hit them, or using another available route to ram them is prohibited.
• Accidents happen. If you hit someone because of desync, a “bubble” issue, or a genuine collision, stop and roleplay the accident instead of driving away as if nothing happened.
• Drive vehicles in ways that fit the vehicle and terrain. Extreme stunt jumps, unrealistic mountain climbing in street cars, launching vehicles off cliffs, or using water/ocean routes as a routine escape may be FailRP.
• Do not switch vehicles through a garage, store a vehicle, use a repair menu, or otherwise erase the consequences of an active chase or scene.
RULE 6. COMBAT LOGGING, DISCONNECTS & RESTARTS
Leaving the server may never be used to avoid an active consequence.
• Combat logging includes disconnecting to avoid arrest, robbery, death/respawn, evidence, injury, or any active roleplay outcome.
• Do not disconnect or respawn during an active scene simply because a timer has become available.
• If you crash or disconnect unintentionally, make a reasonable effort to reconnect and resume the scene. Keep a screenshot of the crash/error if the disconnect could be misunderstood.
• Do not intentionally start planned heists, robberies, hostage scenes, or other major crimes within 15 minutes before a scheduled restart. Wait 15 minutes after restart before intentionally starting a major planned criminal scene.
• A restart is not a tactical reset. Do not use it to change vehicles, escape custody, replace lost items, or reposition for an advantage in a scene that was interrupted.
RULE 7. OUT OF CHARACTER, METAGAMING & STREAM SNIPING
Your character only knows what they learn in character.
• Remain in character in voice while in the city. Do not “RP check,” tell someone they are breaking a rule, threaten reports, or use OOC euphemisms/codewords to discuss game mechanics or staff during a scene.
• Do not reference clipping, bodycam software, Discord, streams, server logs, menus, player IDs, staff tools, or similar OOC information in character.
• Metagaming includes using Discord calls/messages, streams, screenshots, external maps, player lists, or information from another person’s point of view to benefit your character.
• Stream sniping is prohibited. If you are actively playing, do not use a live stream to locate or gain tactical knowledge about people in your server.
• Information belongs to the character who learned it. Your police character cannot pass warrant information to your criminal character, and your characters may not transfer knowledge by saying “my cousin told me.”
• Keep each of your characters independent. Do not deliberately insert an alternate character into the same ongoing faction conflict, investigation, or storyline to gain information or an unfair advantage. Incidental contact or unrelated, independent roleplay is not automatically a violation.
• Do not share duty staffing numbers, active police/EMS counts, or other restricted service information to help criminals plan around emergency-service availability.
RULE 8. POWERGAMING, EXPLOITS & FORCED OUTCOMES
Powergaming is using mechanics or unrealistic actions to deny reasonable counterplay or force an outcome.
• Do not exploit bugs, animation states, inventory behavior, terrain, interiors, menus, or unintended mechanics for an advantage. Report exploits instead of benefiting from them.
• Do not duplicate items/currency, hide interactions with emotes, abuse desync, intentionally glitch through objects, or use known broken mechanics to avoid consequences.
• If you discover a reproducible exploit, report it privately through the official support/report process. Do not share exploit steps publicly or continue reproducing it for personal gain.
• No “cousin transfers.” Your own characters may not directly or indirectly transfer money, vehicles, property, weapons, or items between each other through friends, businesses, or storage.
• Do not run into an inaccessible/instanced property, locked interior, wardrobe, or private garage to escape an active conflict or police interaction.
• Do not use outfit bags, clothing menus, identity changes, or similar tools after an active scene begins to erase identification unless the mechanic is a natural part of the scene and does not bypass immediate pursuit.
• Do not use skateboards, surfboards, or similar props as an unrealistic escape tool during an active scene.
• You may not force another player to empty a bank account, transfer property/vehicle ownership, liquidate assets, or perform actions the server does not intentionally support as part of robbery gameplay.
• Do not force permanent death, sexual content, major character injury, or other lasting character changes on another player without their consent.
RULE 9. ROBBERY, HOSTAGES & CRIMINAL CONDUCT
Criminal roleplay should create scenes, not simply delete other players’ progress.
• Player robberies require a believable in-character reason or criminal scenario. Do not chain-rob random people simply because the mechanics allow it.
• Do not completely inventory-wipe a player for convenience. Take only items that reasonably fit the scene and the robbery’s purpose. Excessive stripping or taking items purely to punish another player may be treated as low-quality roleplay or powergaming.
• Taking property from incapacitated people or vehicle storage must have a legitimate roleplay context. Do not roam between unrelated downed players or unattended vehicles silently emptying inventories. Police evidence collection and specifically authorized activity mechanics remain subject to their applicable procedures.
• Hostages must be genuine roleplay participants. Do not use your own friend/crew member as a fake hostage, recycle the same cooperative hostage, or stage a hostage solely to gain robbery mechanics.
• You may not take a hostage after your friend is already arrested, being processed, or jailed solely to force their release or recover seized possessions.
• On-duty EMS and mechanics may not be robbed or kidnapped for their job-issued equipment. Job-exclusive police/EMS/mechanic items are not general loot and may not be transferred, stored, or used by unauthorized players unless a server system explicitly allows it.
• No bounty or hitman contracts. You may have in-character conflict, but you may not sell or accept “kill this person for money” contracts.
• Stealing emergency-service vehicles, aircraft, or military vehicles is prohibited unless a specific server activity explicitly authorizes it. Aircraft must be operated under the applicable server licensing rules.
• An arrest or station-processing scene does not authorize an improvised rescue or extra allied team. An organized prison-transport interception must have a believable roleplay basis, valid initiation, and must not begin until the actual transport is underway. Normal scene limits and any stricter activity or event rules still apply.
• Once police engagement has begun, participants may not leave an active heist or organized robbery to replenish weapons, ammunition, armor, or other tactical supplies and then return to the same confrontation. Relocating does not reset a continuous scene.
• Unrelated groups may not join, sabotage, take over, or deliberately interfere with another crew’s active heist or organized robbery. Lawful emergency-service responses and expressly approved events remain subject to their own rules.
RULE 10. DOWNED ROLEPLAY, NEW LIFE RULE & RETALIATION
Death and medical outcomes end scenes; they are not a quick reset for revenge.
• If EMS revives you, you may remember the scene, but you must roleplay your injuries and the medical treatment. Being revived does not mean you are instantly combat-ready.
• If you respawn/“see the light,” New Life Rule applies: forget the final 15 minutes leading to your death, do not return to the scene, and do not resume the same personal conflict from that death.
• Other characters cannot “remind” you of information your character lost under New Life Rule in order to restart the same revenge.
• Do not taunt, humiliate, or continue unnecessary toxicity toward downed players. Once the threat is controlled, allow the scene to move forward.
• Retaliation must be based on current in-character knowledge and a continuing story. Do not create endless revenge loops or repeatedly reinitiate the same resolved conflict. NLR always overrides retaliation.
• Hospital protection is not a way to escape an active pursuit, lawful custody, investigation, or other ongoing consequences. Police and EMS may perform legitimate duties, and players must not use medical treatment or hospital entry to erase an active scene.
• Pillbox Hospital and other designated hospital treatment areas are protected medical spaces. Do not initiate a new kidnapping, attack, or retaliatory fight there, or camp entrances to ambush patients, medical workers, or recently treated players.
RULE 11. RESTRICTED ROLEPLAY, HARASSMENT & ADULT CONTENT
Serious roleplay does not excuse discriminatory, sexual, or shock-content harassment.
• Racial, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, disability-based, nationality/religion-based, or similar discriminatory slurs are prohibited. “It was in character” is not a defense.
• Targeted OOC harassment, doxxing, threats, stalking, or encouraging others to harass a community member is prohibited.
• Rape/sexual-assault roleplay and unsolicited sexual behavior are prohibited. Any consensual adult sexual roleplay must remain private and must never involve unwilling bystanders.
• All player characters must be adults. Child/minor roleplay and sexualized age-play are not permitted. Pregnancy/child-rearing roleplay is not supported in TVRP.
• Suicide and self-harm roleplay are prohibited. Do not use mental illness or disability as a punchline, as an excuse for random violence, or as shock content.
• If another player clearly asks to stop an OOC-sensitive topic, respect the boundary and move the roleplay in another direction without turning the scene into an OOC argument.
• Only broadcast music or other audio through voice, speakers, or in-game public systems when you have the rights or appropriate permission to do so. Be considerate of streamers and other players; stop playing potentially infringing audio when a reasonable copyright concern is raised.
RULE 12. WHITELISTED JOBS, SERVICE EQUIPMENT & CORRUPTION
Police, EMS, DOJ, mechanics, and other whitelisted roles are held to job SOPs in addition to these rules.
• Do not distribute job-only equipment, access, confidential records, duty information, or restricted items to unauthorized players.
• Do not use a whitelisted job to feed money, items, information, vehicles, or advantages to your other characters or friends.
• Police corruption is prohibited unless a specific storyline has prior Management approval. Other whitelisted-job corruption may also require approval under that department’s SOP.
• On-duty service workers should prioritize believable service roleplay over “winning” scenes. Department SOPs may set stricter standards than these general rules.
• Players interacting with EMS, police, DOJ, mechanics, and other service roles must allow those jobs reasonable opportunity to roleplay their responsibilities.
RULE 13. BUSINESSES, PROPERTY & PAID ASSETS
Ownership creates roleplay responsibility; it is not a loophole or permanent safe haven.
• Business and property systems may not be used to hide from an active scene, erase evidence, protect loot, or deny reasonable pursuit through inaccessible instances.
• Management may repossess inactive government-rented businesses/properties. Business-specific stock, staffing, and activity requirements may be published separately and are part of ownership conditions.
• Do not asset-dump money, vehicles, property, or items because you are leaving the server, expecting a ban, switching characters, or attempting to bypass an economy reset.
• If a Tebex/purchased asset is sold, traded, or given away in character, that transfer is final. Staff will not restore the asset merely because the owner regrets the in-character transaction.
• If the server supports wills/estate transfers, they must be completed through the approved DOJ/staff process before the transfer. Retroactive “wills” used to justify asset dumping are not valid.
• Real-money trading outside TVRP’s approved systems is prohibited. Do not buy, sell, or broker characters/accounts, TVRP Coins, in-game currency, vehicles, property, businesses, or items for real-world value through outside services or private arrangements. Authorized purchases through the official TVRP store are unaffected.
• Out-of-character payment fraud, impersonating staff in transactions, and deceptive claims involving real-money purchases are prohibited. In-character scams are subject to separate published activity/business restrictions and may never be used to justify real-world fraud.
RULE 14. SERVER INTEGRITY, COMMUNITY CONDUCT & ENFORCEMENT
Protect the community, respect staff processes, and do not exploit technicalities.
• Cheating, hacking, unauthorized mod menus, exploit tools, malicious software, duplication, or knowingly benefiting from hacked/duped assets may result in permanent removal.
• Ban evasion and knowingly helping another person evade a ban may result in permanent removal.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Account/device sharing or failing to secure your account is not an excuse for rule violations.
• Server advertising, player poaching, malicious theft of TVRP community assets/documents/files, or using TVRP platforms primarily to recruit for another server is prohibited.
• Do not attack people in Discord because of an in-city dispute. Use the report/appeal process and keep OOC disputes out of public channels.
• Staff review reports case by case using the totality of evidence. Rule-lawyering, deliberately exploiting ambiguous wording, or repeatedly operating at the edge of a rule may still result in discipline.
• Staff may issue education or warnings, temporary restrictions/suspensions, removal of unlawfully obtained assets, or permanent bans as appropriate to the severity, evidence, intent, and repeat conduct. There is no guaranteed warning before serious discipline, including cheating, major harassment, and ban evasion.
• TVRP is a private community. Access may be removed when a player’s behavior consistently damages serious roleplay or the health of the community, even if every individual incident does not fit a single named rule.
ENFORCEMENT & APPEALS • RULE 14 PROCEDURES
The following procedures clarify how the community rules are administered. Staff discretion remains subject to evidence, context, and Management review.
REPORTING
Submit reports through the official TVRP support or report process. Include the approximate time, location, involved players, and any clips or screenshots available. Do not interrupt an active scene to litigate rules or conduct public callouts.
STAFF REVIEW
Staff may consider video, server logs, witness information, scene context, prior incidents, and the full circumstances. A report without video can still be reviewed, though some allegations may not be verifiable.
POSSIBLE OUTCOMES
Outcomes may include guidance, warnings, temporary restrictions or suspensions, removal of illegitimately obtained assets, or permanent removal. Sanctions are not an automatic step-by-step ladder; severity and repeated behavior matter.
ILLUSTRATIVE SEVERITY GUIDANCE
These examples help staff assess impact and intent; they are not automatic penalties or fixed ban lengths. Management reviews context, evidence, prior conduct, and whether a violation was deliberate.
• Lower impact: a genuine misunderstanding or isolated minor FailRP that can be corrected with guidance.
• Moderate impact: repeated scene disruption, ignoring genuine roleplay, or avoidable interference with others’ activities.
• Serious impact: deliberately abusing incapacitated players, coordinated harassment, or repeated attempts to bypass scene and faction restrictions.
• Critical impact: cheating, duplication, malicious exploitation, doxxing, credible OOC threats, or other severe community harm.
APPEALS
Players may request review through the designated official appeals process. Provide the incident details and any new or missing evidence. Appeals are considered by staff/Management; submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal.
RULE HIERARCHY
These community rules apply to everyone. Department SOPs, approved event rules, and activity-specific limits may impose additional or stricter requirements. Where an activity has a lower participant cap, that lower cap takes precedence; any exceptions must be expressly communicated by Management.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES • WHAT THIS MEANS IN-GAME
• Grinding: Repeatedly running trucking routes is allowed. If another character approaches you with genuine RP, acknowledge them and respond in character; you can still explain that you are working and carry on.
• Active heist: You cannot roll up with a second crew to hijack an unrelated group’s bank robbery, or leave a police standoff to restock and return.
• Downed players: You cannot silently search every incapacitated stranger for loot. A robbery with genuine RP or lawful police evidence handling is different.
• Hospital: You may seek medical attention, but you cannot use Pillbox as an invulnerable refuge from an ongoing arrest or ambush recovering patients.
• Alternate characters: Your second character cannot use an investigation learned by your first character to influence the same active faction dispute.
Serious roleplay is a shared standard. Create scenes worth remembering.
